Filming Florida is an ongoing multiyear project dedicated to highlighting the natural landscapes and wildlife of the state of Florida. Filming Florida will ultimately result in the release of an eight part miniseries focused on the natural history and conservation of one of the most populous and fastest growing states in the country. Throughout production, I will release short films in the Nature Profiles series and showcase Florida’s biodiversity through the Daily Species which highlights a different species every day. First conceived in 2014, Filming Florida has continued to evolve and grow. After moving to Toronto in 2016, project production and fieldwork was temporarily put on hold, but plans are currently underway to restart fieldwork and filming in late 2017 and throughout 2018.

Websites: http://www.CanopyintheClouds.com | http://www.DoselenlasNubes.com
Canopy in the Clouds is a National Geographic funded, bilingual science and environmental media project using interactive 360° spherical panoramas with embedded videos to bring the charismatic cloud forests of Monteverde, Costa Rica to the middle school science classrooms. All of the media for the project was produced in both English and Spanish and is availble to teachers around the world for free. With more than 25 standards-based lesson plans available on the website, we make it easy for teachers to implement our media in the classrooms. I am the project creator, photographer, and web developer for the project.
Of Emus and Fairywrens
As a Thomas J. Watson Fellow, I spent a year traveling Australia and photographing endemic birds. For one year, I dedicated my life to the pursuit of Australia’s unique birds. It took me to some of the most remote sections of the country and in the process it shaped my life and creative approach to photography and other media.

Everglades Imagery was my honors thesis from Bowdoin College. Combining the photographs created during a five month photographic residency in Everglades National Park with four essays about the natural history and environmental science of this fragile ecosystem, this project culminated with a coffee table book and exhibition.
